Saba Ahmad has 23 years of experience litigating in Ontario and New York. Her practice focuses on advancing the rights of Indigenous people and nations, particularly in disputes with mining companies, and in matters aimed at restoring their First Nations' jurisdiction over the lands they have been responsible for stewarding since time immemorial. Saba opened her own legal firm in 2013 to cultivate a practice that reflects her progressive values.
In 2020, Saba led an environmental charity, which under her leadership until 2025, rose to occupy a top position on Charity Intelligence Canada's list of the top 100 charities in Canada. Saba regularly serves on non-profit boards and has been an executive member of sections of the Ontario Bar Association since 2012, including as the Secretary for Civil Litigation Section and as Editor or Co-Editor of the newsletters for the Aboriginal Law Section and the Constitutional, Civil Liberties, and Human Rights Section.
