  • Broutzas v. Rouge Valley Health System - Successfully resisted a plaintiff's class action certification motion on behalf of an individual defendant in a case involving allegations of breach of privacy and intrusion upon seclusion. Responded to the plaintiffs' appeal, argured in November 2022. The Divisional Court dismissed the appeal in 2023.  2018 ONSC 6315. 2019 ONSC 559. 2023 ONSC 540.
  • Cochrane v. Cochrane – Successfully moved to remove a litigation guardian, for an accounting, and for interim costs in an ongoing breach of trust case. Ultimately obtained judgment, which the trustees appealed. The appeal was dismissed in August 2023. 2017 ONSC 1920. 2021 ONSC 5228. 2023 ONCA 546. 
  • Granger v. Granger - Succeeded on appeal to the Ontario Court of Appeal on behalf of an individual, in a case involving claims of unjust enrichment and challenging powers of attorney. Obtained injunctive relief throughout the proceedings below and through the appeal, which ultimately secured the client’s recovery. 2016 ONCA 945.
  • Swiss Tech Incorporated v. 2316543 Ontario Ltd. - Successfully moved for a certificate of pending litigation in a breach of contract case concerning the development of a 2.3 acre parcel of land in the area of Birchmount and Lawrence Avenue in Toronto. Subsequently, in early 2018, the Honourable Justice Morgan granted judgment for $1.8 million to Ms. Ahmad's client, secured by a mortgage on the property. A defendant's appeal was perfected and then abandoned soon after delivery of responding materials. 2018 ONSC 856.  2017 ONSC 6742.
  • Buttigieg v. Buttigieg - Obtained contested distribution from an estate in the amount of $521,976 plus substantial indemnity costs in the amount of $24,572.37, in light of the Trustee's conduct, which lengthened unnecessarily the duration of the matter, (2022 ONSC unpublished)
  • AB v. Cooksville Hyundai et al. and AB v. Paquette - Obtained awards of $57,904 and $76,000 after a trial before the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario as redress for client's gender discrimination claim. The employer failed to accommodate its worker, after she complained of having to report to a supervisor who sexually assaulted her. The employer cut her wages and moved her to a lower paying position, causing injury to AB's dignity. The individual defendant defaulted and was also ordered to pay. 2020 HRTO 499 and 2022 HRTO 1356.
  • Luong v. Trinh – Successfully moved to vary a Mareva injunction and resisted a cross-motion for interim costs. The matter ultimately settled on the eve of trial.​​ 2014 ONSC 693
  • Recently settled an estate matter, in a case challenging the validity of a will on grounds of incapacity and undue influence.​
  • Recently settled an estate matter, in a case involving a multi-million dollar estate, alleging undue influence and breach of trust.​
